Frequently Asked Questions

I don't take baths. Can your bath salts be used for anything else?

Our Soothing Bath Salts make an excellent foot soak! Just pour one scoop into a foot basin, fill with warm to hot water, plop your feet in and enjoy!

You could also add a small amount of our bath salts to your favorite body wash to create an exfoliating body wash. Pour desired amount of body wash into your hand, add a small amount of salts, lather and scrub away. We do not recommend adding the bath salts directly into the body wash container.

For a more concentrated scrub, pour a small amount of salts directly onto a damp washcloth. Use the cloth to exfoliate rough skin on your feet, knees or elbows. Rinse completely and enjoy your softer skin.

Do I have to use your recommendation of 4 scoops of your bath salts per bath?

Our general recommendation is 4 scoops. This will give you a fragrant and relaxing soak. Of course, you may change this amount to your preference.

One of your ingredients in your bath salts is dendritic salt. What is it?

Dendritic salt is used in all of our salts. It is a form of sodium chloride (table salt) that has a crystalline structure which creates more surface area. The larger surface area allows this salt to absorb the fragrances used so that they last longer. It also helps to absorb moisture, helping to prevent clumping.

I've noticed that when using your bath salts, my soap seems to lather more than usual. Why is this?

Using bath salts helps to soften your water. Soap lathers much more in soft water.

Why don't my fingers and toes seem to prune as much when I use your bath salts than they do in bath water with no salts?

When you soak in a bath, the water passes through your skin. Regular bath water will pass only water through your skin. The extra water added to your skin creates the pruning. When you soak in a tub of water with bath salts, both the water and the salts pass through your skin. This means that less water passes through your skin (because it is combined with the salts), causing less pruning.

Can children use bath salts?

We do not recommend our products for use by children.

Can I use your bath salts in my jacuzzi/whirlpool tub?

We do not recommend using our salts in a jacuzzi or whirlpool tub. Please consult your owner's manual for specific recommendations based on your model.

Are bath salts safe for use by pregnant women?

While our salts are excellent for sore muscles and back aches, we recommend that pregnant women consult their physicians before using our products.

Will Get Soaked bath salts stain my tub?

We take great care in adding a minimal amount of colorants to our salts in order to avoid any tub staining. You should not have any staining problems with our recommended usage amount. If you should happen to notice any discoloration in your tub, you can rest assured that the color will wash away. Any soap scum or buildup you have on your tub may absorb the color. When you wash away the buildup, the color will go down the drain with it!
